Dear reader,

If you’ve found our blog, we hope you feel a little less alone in the world. That’s our goal at least. We know from personal experience that the adult world can be isolating and more than a little scary at times.

I know I’m lucky to find the people that I have. Adult friendships show up in the most unlikely of places and can either work as a clean slate or a rock for you hold onto when days are bad. They didn’t know you when you were younger. They help see you into your gray haired years. And across miles and text messages and late night phone calls, they help remind you of who you want to be.

So I decided to start this blog, to invite you on this journey with me as I figure it out day by day, text by text, hopeful encouraging experiment by experiment. I hope to share with you my trials and errors at professional lives, relationships, food, beauty, budgeting…you name it. And if you ever want to request a topic for tips, I’m all about it.

I’m not an expert, but I’m learning to navigate this crazy adult world. Having a support system, and arming yourself with as much knowledge as possible is the only way to make it through. Or at least that’s what I’ve figured out so far. It’s been said it takes a village to raise a child, but once that child grows up, the village only shifts a little. More internet, less phone calls home (although I believe my mom is the most ingenious person I know). And with that in mind, with this first post, I’d love to share a little of my village with you. Below is a list of my top four favorite bloggers of all kinds. Consider them my “struggle experts”, and they are welcome to be yours too.

They cover a variety of topics (just like I will). So click the links. Check them out. And come back to my site for more tips of the trade in this great adulting world.
